The District 28 Guidelines state that nominations will be made in September and then published in the District 28 minutes. Elections  then take place in October and officers take their new positions in January.  Additional nominations can be made at the time of elections in October.  As I have seen at the District and Area level this is usually needed to get positions filled.  

     Open positions for the District are:

   Elected District Officers:   

·         DCM (District Committee Member)

·         Alt. DCM (Alternate District Committee Member)

·         Secretary

·         Treasurer

Elected by Home Groups:

·         GSR (General Service Representative)

  Committee Chairs (Let the DCM know if you are interested in serving as one of these Committee Chairs or help with the Committee work.  These are volunteer positions, approved by the District, not elected positions.)

·         Accessibilities Chairperson

·         Archives Chairperson

·         Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) Chairperson /Public Information (PI) Chairperson 

·         Corrections Chairpersons – Men’s and Women’s

·         Grapevine/La Vina Chairperson

·         Literature Chairperson

·         Nature Coast Intergroup (NCI) Service Liaison               

·         Treatment Chairperson

·         Web / Technology Chairperson

·         Workshop Chairperson
